How did the school start?
The school as we know it today was born in the late 18th and early 19th century in Prussia. In order to avoid the revolutions that were happening in France, the monarchs included some principles of the Enlightenment to satisfy the people, but maintaining the absolutist regime.

The Prussian school was based on a strong class and caste division. Its structure, inherited from the Spartan model, formed discipline, obedience and the authoritarian regime. Its objective was to create a docile, obedient, "subject" people, and that could prepare for the wars of the time. In the same way, the school was born in a positivist world ruled by an industrial economy, therefore, it sought to obtain the greatest observable results with the least effort and investment possible, applying scientific formulas and general laws. Likewise, the school was the ideal answer to the need of workers and the same industrial entrepreneurs of the 19th century who were the ones who financed the oblique schooling through their foundations.

In this part you can see two (2) images where the incredible similarity between the students of a school and the workers of a factory is demonstrated. In fact, the model of industrial production on an assembly line was perfect for the school. The education of a child was comparable to the manufacture of a product, therefore it required a series of steps determined in a specific order, separating the children by generations in school grades, and in each of these stages it would work on certain elements, contents that would assure the success, thought through by an expert.
